J.A. Brennan developed a master plan for the revitalization of Juanita Beach Park through an extensive public involvement process. The new vision for the park includes enhanced connections between the separate park sectors and the community. The plan incorporates redeveloped athletic fields, a new parking lot, new restrooms, improved active and passive recreation areas, and enhanced water quality at the swimming beach and adjacent creek. The plan recommends development of transient moorage facilities along the over-water walkway, as well as a boat rental concessions dock.

J.A. Brennan is currently leading the design of Phase 1 park improvements. Development includes enhancing the beachfront and improving water quality function, habitat features, pedestrian and parking circulation, and stormwater management. Low Impact Development stormwater management techniques will be used to treat run-off from the new parking lot, path surfaces and lawn areas. Rain gardens will be incorporated into the parking area to treat surface run-off and allow for infiltration from the parking area.
