Renovating the historic wharf on Bellingham Bay was a high priority for the city of Bellingham. J.A. Brennan Associates developed a master plan and detail design for wharf, upland park elements, beach access, and streetscape improvements.

Design elements include a wharf entry gateway, interpretive pavilion, viewing pavilion, railings, site furniture and park plaza. Design criterian for the park included a barrier free access and an ADA restroom.

J.A. Brennan Associates PLLC assisted the city in the integration of the waterfront Park with a waterfront inn.
