Lake Wilderness Park and Lodge Master Plan

J.A. Brennan’s master plan for Lake Wilderness Park and Lodge guides Maple Valley’s jewel of a park for the future. The master plan addresses recreational programming for the park’s growing number of visitors. Improvements proposed include a new dock and remodeled bathhouse at the swimming beach, new trails and waterfront promenade, amphitheater and band-shell, improvements to the rental lodge facilities, shoreline enhancements and low impact development stormwater features. As wetlands and forests cover much of the park, the master plan balances public enjoyment and education with the need to preserve and enhance these vital natural areas.

Trail Connectivity | During the planning process we studied potential new connections to Maple Valley neighborhoods that would be compatible with the existing features at Maple Valley’s signature park. Connections were also improved to a regional trail close to the park. A trail network was also designed throughout the 117 acre park connecting key features, providing shoreline access and avoiding sensitive areas.
