Odlin Park

Odlin Park is an 80-acre waterfront park located along Upright Channel on the west side of Lopez Island. The park offers amazing views and a multitude of recreational opportunities including camping, a beachfront day use area, boat launch, day-use dock and mooring buoys, picnic facilities, hiking trails, and a ballfield.

Formerly a salt water marsh, the beachfront portion of the site was filled during initial park construction in the 1930s as part of the ballfield development. Over the years, other uses and amenities were added, and issues began to arise such as congestion, user conflict, lack of accessibility, and a concern for park resources, including the historic salt marsh. J.A. Brennan’s park design addresses these concerns by relocating the campground road away from the beach and improving parking and boat launch circulation. New vegetation minimizes conflict between the campground and ballfield use.  Camping improvements include site reconfiguration and additional campsites, expanded day use area, and new ADA accessible facilities and routes. Approximately one quarter acre of wetland mitigation provides public access and wildlife viewing opportunities.
