4th and Trenton Street Storm Drainage Improvements
Over the years, the street adjacent to Marra-Desimone Park frequently experienced flooding problems during heavy rain events. Through a collaborative design process with Seattle Public Utilities, Seattle Parks, and a civil engineering firm, J.A. Brennan assisted in the design of a bio-filtration swale system.
The new drainage swales improve water quality and are integrated into the adjacent park. J.A. Brennan’s responsibilities included initial schematic design studies of the stormwater facility to ensure that the design fit with the Marra-Desimone Park master plan. The design of the stormwater facility was the first phase of development of the Marra-Desimone Park Long Range Development Plan that was developed by J.A. Brennan.
