Sound Transit North Link Final Design

J.A Brennan is coordinated with a multi-disciplinary design team to provide landscape architectural services for wetland enhancement and restoration design, stormwater LID facility improvements, and aesthetic design for the Maple Leaf Portal of Sound Transit’s North Link Final Design.

Sensitive site planning and design of facilities was required to minimize disturbance to tributaries of the Thornton Creek Watershed. Landscape restoration and mitigation design efforts aim to enhance portions of the urban waterway to improve habitat for fish and wildlife.

Aesthetic design services include the design of concrete finishes for the sound-abatement walls and retained cut walls, as well as the design of exterior screens and gates associated with the portal structure, power, and maintenance facilities.
